Agentic research

Research without waiting for the question.

Traditional AI answers a question. Sonar IQ is designed to discover questions worth asking.

Potentially thousands of specialized AI agent researchers can continuously observe markets and financial information. When something unusual appears, the system can investigate it, develop competing hypotheses, and test the evidence before a human thinks to ask the question.

Listening for echoes in the noise

Eight steps, every time.

Each report moves through the same sequence. Nothing is published that has not been challenged.

  1. Observe

Agents continuously monitor markets, companies, economic data, news, filings, transcripts, and other relevant sources.

  2. Detect

Changes, anomalies, divergences, and unusual relationships are surfaced as potential signals.

  3. Investigate

Relevant agents gather the surrounding evidence and examine the signal in context.

  4. Hypothesize

Possible explanations are developed for what may be happening, why it is happening, and whether it matters.

  5. Test

Each hypothesis is compared against fundamentals, history, comparable situations, and other available evidence.

  6. Challenge

Independent agents search for contradictions, weaknesses, and alternative explanations.

  7. Synthesize

What survives is combined into a conclusion with the evidence, probability, risks, and uncertainty made explicit.

  8. Track

The conclusion remains under observation and is revised when new evidence changes the picture.

The objective is not certainty. It is to improve the odds.

A strong hypothesis is not a fact. Every report answers two questions: how likely is this view to be right, and what evidence would change it?
